Lillie Square, Earls Court, London
Part of the Earl’s Court regeneration project, Lillie Square is a prestigious development of luxury apartments, penthouses and townhouses in West London.
Set around two lovely green squares, and enjoying stunning views of the London skyline, the development features four mansion blocks with adaptable living accommodation to suit the needs of city dwellers.
Working with our client, Essex Services Group and design consultant, Hoare Lea, Caice designed and supplied over 650 fan coil units including integral discharge attenuation along with over 2800 whole house ventilation attenuators to the project, enabling all accommodation to benefit from quiet, energy efficient and powerful air-conditioning. Performance of our fan coil unit was independently verified at BRE’s Watford laboratory to ensure that noise from the unit was kept within the NR25 night time, NR30 day time and NR35 boost noise criteria.
The challenge our client faced was to maintain clean aesthetic lines whilst at the same time ensuring that the installed fan coil units can be effectively maintained. Our solution was to develop folding filters, dismountable controls on fly-leads and bespoke drain tray lengths to ensure that ongoing maintenance would not compromise the architect’s vision – therefore achieving the best of both worlds.
